Instant Technologies Newsletter
It's
August and time to get the kids ready to go back to school. In this
month's newslettter I'm going to tell you how The Learning Continuum
Company has implemented Instant Queue Manager to allow for easier
customer contact.
I've got another tip
from Carl, this month he tells us how we can quickly and easily set up
and log in with multiple Sametime accounts through the manipulation of
INI files.
Summer has been
busy, with our developers working hard at adding some great new
functionality to our products, we'll shortly be releasing an update of
Instant Queue Manager that includes the ability to use Sametime public
groups as the queues.
And finally (yes it took a few attempts) Sametime FP1 is available.
The Learning Continuum Company's Online Queue
Instant Queue Manager saves time and connects people more effectively at TLCC
I
recently had a chance to ask Howard Greenberg, President of The
Learning Continuum Company (TLCC), about their success using Instant
Queue Manager and STLinks to communicate with their customers through
their website in a more efficient manner.
TLCC eliminated the
everday hassle of updating their website's STLinks in their 'Chat now
with TLCC' feature through the creation of queues. Instant Agent
Framework allowed them to define queue participation lists that
directed TLCC customers directly to available sales and support
representatives.
Howard Greenberg
also praised the logging feature that allowed management to monitor and
track the usage of the queues. This is what he had to say:
"The logging
feature works great - we not only get our queue management solution,
but also a log of all our inbound chat conversations from the web site.
We can immediately see who replied to which request and how many web
based queries we have handled."

Time Saving Tip from Carl
Use .INI files to quickly log in multiple instances of Lotus Sametime to test applications.
Carl Tyler has yet
another useful tip for us. This one saves us time when it comes to
testing application that require you to run multiple instances of Lotus
Sametime on multiple servers.
For instance, if
you want to test Instant Agent Framework, or Instant Queue Manager in
multiple environments this tip will allow you to quickly do so without
having to re-enter usernames, passwords, and server information.
Instant Queue Manager Update
Instant Queue Manager now supports Lotus Sametime Public Groups
For
those of you who are familiar with our product Instant Queue Manager,
we are in the process of putting the final touches on an update. The
update will include the ability to set public groups as agents in a
queue.
The ability to set
public groups as agents in a queue has been a popular request among
many of our customers. Administrators can now configure queues to
direct incoming chat requests to the next available person among an
entire group. This will make creating queues more flexible, and members
of a queue are instantly updated with a change to a public group.
We are always
looking for ways to make our products work better, and what better
place to get advice than from our customers. Keep the feedback coming
so that we can make our products better for you.
