We're
nearing the end of September, the foliage is beginning to turn and
summer's last breaths are upon us. In this month's newsletter you will
learn how RedLab uses IMtegrity to monitor Sametime usage among
employees.
Carl Tyler Sametime
has another tip for us. In this issue he'll show us how you can figure
out the name format for STLinks so that it doesn't make unnecessary
calls to the resolver.
Our development
team is putting the final touches on an add-in for Instant Queue
Manager that allows for 'canned responses' within the Sametime connect
client.
And then last but
not least, we're looking for people interested in evaluating Sametime
bots that access information in SAP R/3.
IMtegrity at RedLab in Moscow, Russia
IMtegrity allows RedLab management to log and monitor Lotus Sametime usage
RedLab
of Russia recently gave me the opportunity to chat with them about our
product IMtegrity and how they were putting it to use. It is always
interesting to learn about how companies are using the products we've
worked so hard to create and its very exciting to hear about a company
half way around the world that is finding a great deal of success and
value in using our products.
At RedLab Lotus
Sametime is a major communication tool, though powerful the Sametime
Connect client does have its shortfalls when compared to less secure
consumer instant messengers. One such shortfall the RedLab employees
saw at RedLab was the ability to view archived chats to retrieve
valuable information previously discussed with clients or other
employees.
Management also saw the importance of archiving and this is what Alexander Pestryakov, IT Manager at RedLab had to say:
"For us it is
important to give users all the instruments and services that will make
their jobs more convenient, IMtegrity is one such instrument"

Carl Tyler has yet another tip for us...
Find out the names for STLinks without accessing the resolver
Carl has delivered
another very useful tip for us to improve the Lotus Sametime Links
client response time and ease the burden on the Sametime server.
One small function and one line of code is all it takes.
Add-In Available for Instant Queue Manager
Add-In for current Instant Queue Manager customers allows for 'canned responses'
Another little something for Instant Queue Manager, last month we had an update and this month we've got an Add-In.
The Add-In for
Queue Manager deals with 'canned responses' a feature that we've had
many requests for. If you're not familiar with 'canned responses' they
allow users to send pre-set responses to avoid the tedious process of
having to re-type the same greeting or closing every time they deal
with a new person in a help desk.
As always, if you
have any additional comments or requests for product updates please let
us know. We want to make our products better for you. Keep the feed
back coming!
