Instant Technologies Announces Instant Agent (“bots”) Framework.  Built with IBM Lotus Instant Messaging Technology.

Instant Technologies Corporation of Beverly, Mass., (“Instant”) today announced the immediate availability of its new software product, Instant Agent Frameworktm. With Instant Agent Framework, corporations that use IBM Lotus Instant Messaging software can quickly build and run automated agents ("BOTS") that perform common tasks from within an instant messaging conversation. Using Instant Agent Framework, IT departments can build and run agents that will draw data from a wide variety of storage formats, such as those used by Microsoft, IBM, and SAP R/3.

The initial release of the Agent Framework will support a Lotus Domino connector to quickly and easily expose information stored within Lotus Domino to users via the Sametime Instant Messaging platform. Using IAF, IT departments can quickly build and deploy Agents that provide access to Lotus Domino without having to know any programming languages.
