INSTANT TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES INSTANT TEAMMESSENGER V 2.0 FOR IBM LOTUS INSTANT MESSAGING AND MICROSOFT OFFICE 

Instant Technologies (“Instant”) of Beverly, Massachusetts today announced the availability of its Instant TeamMessenger 2.0, the latest in its suite of IBM and Microsoft real-time collaboration integration software. With today’s announcement, Instant brings the goal of real-time collaboration and ubiquitous presence closer for Microsoft Outlook users. While in Microsoft Outlook, Instant TeamMessenger 2.0 provides users with the award winning real-time, secure messaging and presence found in IBM Lotus Instant Messaging (formerly IBM Lotus Sametime).

When an Outlook user views an email, Instant TeamMessenger 2.0 automatically displays who is on-line from the To, From, and CC fields. The Outlook user can then instantly initiate either a one-on-one or group chat without leaving Outlook. This “contextual collaboration” (on-line awareness based on the content of your application) helps to facilitate decision making in real-time. Colleagues who are working on projects together have the ability to communicate instantly about shared documents or e-mail.
